Fonthill Cemetery Historical Guided Tours
This year's Fonthill Cemetery Historical Guided Tours has ended. I'll update this page when next year's dates are announced.
The Town of Pelham Arts and Culture department runs guided tours of Fonthill Cemetery on Friday, October 16. A new tour of about one hour leaves every 15 minutes between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. Volunteer guides and actors portraying historic residents tell local stories, and an optional tavern reception follows at Old Pelham Town Hall. The event took place on October 16 with a rain date of October 17. Tickets were sold through Eventbrite, and the page noted more tickets were available. The cemetery entrance is off Highland Avenue. Parking was at Fonthill United Church, with accessible parking at Kirkpatrick Stoneworks. The optional $20 tavern reception was held at Old Pelham Town Hall, 491 Canboro Rd W, Fenwick, and included a box of cured meats, aged cheese, dried fruit, pretzels and grapes plus one alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. Extra drinks were sold separately. The Pelham Historical Society's site says its members wrote the script and acted as historical figures.
