Lark Ascending: A Remembrance Day Concert
Music Niagara lists Lark Ascending for Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 11:45 AM at St. Mark's Anglican Church, after the community Remembrance Day ceremony. Admission is by donation to the Last Post Fund, and complimentary soup is served in Addison Hall before the performance. Pianist Victoria Kogan is a featured artist, and the program includes readings of wartime memoirs by Loris Isabettini. The concert is listed from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and continues Music Niagara's annual Remembrance Day tradition. The organizer describes classical music, reflection and personal stories honouring Canadians who served. Along with pianist Victoria Kogan, the page names two young violinists: Sophia Chen, a First Prize winner at the Canadian Music Competition, and Sora Sato-Mound, a Royal Conservatory student on a full scholarship who won First Prize at the 21st International G. Ph. Telemann Violin Competition. Both study with Atis Bankas. Community partners are St. Mark's Anglican Church, the Last Post Fund and The Sandtrap.
